The Network Resource Centre > Introduction

This service aims to break away from traditional Day Centre models by providing groups/activities specifically designed, managed and delivered by service users themselves. Facilities are decorated in a bright, contemporary and comfortable style, and include PC and Broadband Internet access, TV/Video, smoke room and kitchen.

We offer a friendly, warm and welcoming environment where people can ‘chill out’, enjoy meeting together and access learning and recreational opportunities, advice and information. The Centre provides varied opportunities for socialising, peer support and developing individual skills and potential. The NRC operates an evolving programme of both week day and out-of-hours activities, some in partnership with REMIT adult education Project. Membership is via referral only.

The Centre also rents out Boardroom and other meetings space free to mental health service user/carer groups and at a reasonable charge to other agencies to help fund NRC activities.
