Celebrating 21 years…

Celebrating 21 years of positive practice in mental health recovery

Network for Change is an award winning local voluntary sector organisation providing Supported Housing, Community Outreach and Resource Centre activities designed to meet the needs of adults whose mental health problems have impacted significantly on their quality of life.  From our origins as the Leicester MIND Housing Project, Network for Change has evolved over the last 21 years into an innovative and creative service provider with a strong values base rooted in recovery and person centred practice and a passion for exploring alternative perspectives and encouraging critical dialogue in mental health and well-being.

The Governments New Horizons vision for mental health embraces Network's values and practice with a strong emphasis on recognising that the root causes of mental distress often lie in adverse life experiences such as trauma, abuse, poverty and loss. Sound therapeutic support relationships and peer support are vital to overcoming the negative impact of such experiences, building resilience, challenging stigma and discrimination and fostering well-being and recovery.

Our recent conference marking the occasion was a great success and our thanks goes to all involved in making it a very special day.

‘Well done Network for Change for a very well organised event. There was plenty to do and the speakers presentations and timing where just right.  Look forward to future events...'

‘Fantastic speakers'
