Innovation – training - consultancy – service development 

Network PLUS is the innovation, training and consultancy arm of Network for Change. Our Network PLUS team is made up of staff and clients with many years experience of working in mental health, combined with a lived experience of mental distress, with a specific interest in exploring alternative and innovative solutions to service delivery.  

The aims of the team are:

• Promote innovation and recovery
• Develop recovery focused training
• Influence local service delivery
• To explore and provide an open dialogue on alternative services (e.g. Crisis Houses) through action research/learning and appreciative enquiry

Recent and current projects include: 

• 1^st Time on a Ward Booklet advice from friends (revised edition)
• Developing a recovery based outcomes tool
• Mental Health Awareness and Recovery Training
• Hearing Voices Summer School (Delivered by Birmingham City University)
• Discussion evenings on a range of topics with guest speakers
• Planned Network 21^st anniversary conference
• Crisis house steering group
• Psychological mindedness in housing and support (Funded through CSIP trailblazers)
• Living With Psychiatric Medication Group (now independent)
